Under the terms of the agreement, CENTOGENE will utilize <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centogene.com\/pl\/testy-genetyczne\/how-to-order\/filtercard-centocard.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"More about CentoCard\">CentoCard\u00ae<\/a>, its proprietary, validated, dried blood spot collection kit, to identify PD patients with a mutation in the LRRK2 gene for recruitment into Denali\u2019s clinical trials.<\/p>\n<p>Mutations in the LRRK2 gene are one of the most commonly known genetic causes of Parkinson\u2019s disease and a driver of lysosomal dysfunction, which contributes to the formation of Lewy body protein aggregates and neurodegeneration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur exclusive collaboration underscores CENTOGENE\u2019s strong capability to accelerate the early identification of patients with rare genetic diseases worldwide.
