UU., 28 de mayo de 2019 \u2013 En un informe t\u00e9cnico publicado hoy, CENTOGENE present\u00f3 una actualizaci\u00f3n sobre su programa de c\u00e9lulas madre pluripotentes inducidas (iPSC). Iniciado a principios de 2019, el programa se centra en apoyar a las compa\u00f1\u00edas farmac\u00e9uticas para el desarrollo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y econ\u00f3mico de f\u00e1rmacos hu\u00e9rfanos para enfermedades neurodegenerativas, metab\u00f3licas y cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n<p>CENTOGENE ya ha recolectado m\u00e1s de 500 biopsias de piel de pacientes con enfermedades raras de todo el mundo y las est\u00e1 reprogramando en iPSC para una serie de enfermedades metab\u00f3licas raras como Gaucher, Niemann Pick tipo A y C, enfermedad renal poliqu\u00edstica, enfermedad de Fabry, leucodistrofia metacrom\u00e1tica y mucopolisacaridosis tipo 2.<\/p>\n<p>En el proceso de descubrimiento de f\u00e1rmacos para enfermedades raras, la industria se enfrenta a informaci\u00f3n limitada sobre el espectro cl\u00ednico de la enfermedad debido al n\u00famero limitado de pacientes disponibles seg\u00fan la propia definici\u00f3n de enfermedad rara.
